Impact of Soviet worker residential area design on Beijing No. 2 textile factory: Research of worker residential planning during the First Five‐Year Plan

This paper aims to examine the contents of professional architectural books on worker residential areas in Soviet Union, analyzing proposals based Northeast China's experience during First Five-Year Plan. Despite sharing a common source for design, differences regional and situational conditions result diversity between China Union. By considering plan Beijing case planned No. 2 textile factory 1953, it can be concluded that had already developed original planning ideas methods period.
